Lexus unveiled the all-new, next generation 350 and Lexus RX 450h hybrid at the 2008 Los Angeles Show. The vehicle that pioneered the car-based luxury utility vehicle segment when it launched in 1998, is completely redesigned and will continue to set new benchmarks in areas that have made it the best-selling luxury utility vehicle: innovation, styling, performance, utility and comfort.

The focus of these new models of two-RX engine are improved. Beginning of the second generation, the RX 450h Lexus Hybrid Drive system better with a gasoline engine 3.5-liter V6 that runs on a highly efficient Atkinson-cycle. Combined with a new investor, the more effective is the system the aggregate output of 295 hp, 27 hp more than the RX hybrid generation.

The RX 450h Hybrid front-wheel drive or electronic engine control, part-time four-wheel drive (AWD) hybrid drive, which provides the rear wheels with the optimum amount of torque, and the demand. Unlike mechanical systems, AWD, that provides for the reduction of fuel consumption by more weight and friction, the RX 450h rear-mounted electric motor-generator wheel regenerative braking, charging the hybrid battery efficiency.

A further step in the development of the hybrid Lexus to be improved by adding two new systems, their effectiveness. The first is a heat recovery system, the time to the motor, which can be longer and more often to stop gas is reduced. The result is fuel economy and emissions improvements. The second is a system for cooling the engine exhaust gas is reduced pumping losses, which also contributes to improving the economy.
