2011 Jaguar XF
[ Wednesday, December 29th, 2010 | by automotiveroom | under CAR, Jaguar, New Cars ]The 2011 Jaguar XF will probably carry few changes from the 2010 model, but face it: it doesn’t need them. We are, after all, talking about a Jaguar. Quality is a given, and drive and performance have never been a letdown with these vehicles.
Base versions now come equipped with a 385-horsepower 5.0-liter V8 engine, which replaces a 300-horsepower 4.2-liter V8. This engine was previously standard only on the Premium. The Supercharged and XFR have a supercharged version of the 5.0-liter engine; the former has 470 horsepower, the latter 510. All XF models use a 6-speed automatic transmission with “JaguarDrive Selector,” which uses a rotary knob for gear selection. The transmission also includes steering-wheel paddles for manual gear changes.
The British car manufacturer is offering the MY2011 XF Diesel S with a choice of two new exclusive option packs: the Dynamics Pack and the Aerodynamic Pack.
The optional Aerodynamic Pack is engineered to provide the XF Diesel S with even more stellar and aggressive stance. It packs striking new black mesh inserts for the grille and lower air intakes, which contribute for a deeper look to the front of the car and even greater visual impact. The sculpted lower air intake blades can be further equipped with bright-white LED daytime running lights. Directly from the XFR model, the side sills complete the package ultimately. The cost of this option pack is £1500, or £2000 with the LED lights.
