General Motors has released the first 2012 Buick Verano teaser image which show the right front corner of the new model. The Buick Verano teaser photos offers a glimpse of the new model’s headlights, fog lights and front grille. General Motors has announced that the new Buick Verano will be built at the Orion Assembly plant in Southeastern Michigan. The Buick Verano will not be the only model built at the fore mentioned plant. GM also plans to build its future small car there. The Buick Verano and the company’s new small car represent and investment of $600 million.
The new compact luxury sedan comes fitted as standard with a 2.4L Ecotec engine linked to a 6-speed automatic, which in terms of performance will offer an estimated 177 HP (132 kW) and 170 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to this powerplant the 2012 Buick Verano will also be able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 8.0 seconds and return an average of 31 mpg on the highway.
At the interior the 2012 Buick Verano offers luxury combined with technology, with some of the features including dual-zone climate control, heated steering-wheel, heated leather seats, 10 airbags, push button start and OnStar powered connectivity.
